From New York to Paris, and back and maybe forth!

GAMATONE81: A Sonic Journey

Born in the vibrant summer of 1981 in New York City, GAMATONE81’s life has been steeped in music from the very beginning, through her father, Composer, Arranger, and broadway musician. At the age of six, a move to France set the stage for an different musical education at the prestigious Conservatory, where a deep love for composition and performance took root.

Exploring a multitude of genres, she honed her craft by playing in an array of bands for 15 years, spanning from jazz and reggae to rock and blues. This eclectic exposure forged a unique sonic identity, blending rhythmic complexity with melodic soulfulness.

Returning to her birthplace, New York City, she delved into the world of audio production, refining her skills in sound design and studio engineering through the Recording Connection Program under the Mentorship or the engineer at Swan Recordings, in BKL, NY and collaborating with the renowned producer Gary HAASE. Once completed, ensued a period marked as an incubation phase—a time of exploration, experimentation, and artistic growth.

From this creative crucible emerged a new identity: GAMMA TONE81. A fusion of experience, influences, and sonic mastery, this project embodies the culmination of years of dedication to music. With each note, GAMMA TONE81 crafts an auditory experience that transcends boundaries, inviting listeners into a world where sound and emotion intertwine, all wrapped up in an retro-futuristic nostalgia.
